Harrison Ford Would ‘Love’ To Do ‘Indiana Jones 5,’ Talks ‘Cowboys & Aliens’

Harrison Ford may play an aging anchorman in his latest film, “Morning Glory,” but he’s ready to strap on his trademark fedora, grab his leather whip and jump into action for another “Indiana Jones” if he gets the call.

“Oh sure, I’d love to do it,” Harrison told Access Hollywood of a possible fifth film in the Indy franchise.

Harrison said that in order to get the action adventure off the ground again, he and producers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg would need to be aligned on where to take the franchise.

“If there’s something that the three of us can agree on then I’d love to do it,” Harrison continued.

The actor added that one of the Indy triumvirate is currently penning some potential material.

“George is working on something now, but I haven’t really seen anything on paper,” Harrison said. “We’ve talked a little bit about it. It would be fun.”

In the meantime, Harrison’s next adventure film will be the sci-fi film “Cowboys & Aliens,” which just wrapped filming and is due out next summer.

“I just finished ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ with Daniel Craig, directed by Jon Favreau,” he said. “It was really a good experience and I had a great time.”

Harrison said the project, about a group of settlers and Apache Indians who have to come together when aliens land in town, was something he is proud to be a part of.

“I had thought maybe I’d never get to make another cowboy movie,” Harrison said. “They’re so rare these days, but this was a really intriguing project and I think it’s gonna be very exciting.

“It’s a real cowboy movie, looks like a cowboy movie, feels like a classic cowboy movie, and then things happen, and then it goes back to being a cowboy movie with this added element,” he continued. “And I think it’s the kind of film that there’s a real broad audience for. I’m very excited for it. I think it’s going to be good.”
