Hayden Panettiere & Kimberly Williams-Paisley Talk Nashville

Hayden Panettiere plays a successful country sensation on “Nashville,” and while she may look the part of a music superstar on the ABC drama, she still gets star struck when meeting country legends while filming in the famed Tennessee town.

“I’m beside myself. First of all, I just saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and I literally ran across the carpet to hug her,” Hayden told Access Hollywood at the 2012 CMA Awards. “She was a doll about it, but I can only imagine what she thought when she saw little old me running across the carpet!”

Adding, “I literally just jumped on Faith Hill. It was the most exciting moment of my life.”

The 23-year-old said she’s enjoying life in Nashville, as well as the positive response the show has received from the city’s residents.

“I love it. I love that we’re doing the show here, I love that we get to really immerse ourselves within the culture of it because Nashville really plays a huge role in our show,” she said. “And it’s very rare that people get it right. And that’s what I’ve heard more than anything is people from Nashville going, ‘Thank you for portraying us in the right light.’”

While the bubbly blonde has been hanging out with country royalty, thanks to her new show, she said she never asks artists if they tune in to see her play Juliette Barnes.

“No, I’m not gonna ask unless they tell!” she said, with a laugh.

Access also caught up with Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who made her debut on “Nashville” in last week’s episode as Peggy Samper, and the actress hinted that her character will certainly stir the pot in the coming weeks.

“I’m there to cause trouble — I think there’s no question about that — and not intentionally,” she told Access of Peggy, who was seen covertly discussing a past mistake (whether business or romantic?) she made with Teddy Conrad (played by Eric Close). “I think Peggy’s made some bad decisions and that’s gonna cause some trouble.”

Catch Hayden and Kimberly – along with Connie Britton and Charles Esten – on “Nashville,” Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC.
