1. New York’s Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa at The Plaza

Celebrity Clients: Ashley Olsen & Molly Sims

Treatment: Crushed Cabernet Scrub

DIY / AT-HOME TREATMENT:

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup honey
.5 cup of grapeseed oil
5 pumps of body lotion

Mix together all ingredients in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute at medium heat. Apply mixture to body in the shower by rubbing scrub in circular movements from the toes to the neck. Rinse off with warm water, but do not use soap. The brown sugar is a great exfoliant. Honey nourishes and heals the skin, while the grapeseed oil is an antioxidant. The body lotion helps to hydrate/moisturize.

2. Miraval Arizona

Celebrity Client: Oprah

Treatment: Luxurious Bath

DIY/ AT-HOME TREATMENT:

A decadent bath and body scrub is a great combo for a luxurious at-home spa experience. Start with a warm bath and spice it up! When you emerge relaxed, renew your skin with a homemade body scrub.

Spicy Nutmeg-Cinnamon Latte Bath
1 cup powdered milk
1 cup Epsom Salts
.5 Tbsp Ground Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon

Blend together and add half a cup of mixture, plus a few drops of Vitamin E oil to running warm/hot water

Southwest Cocoa-Mole Cafe Scrub
1 cup Sea Salts
1 cup Epsom Salt
.25 cup brewed coffee grounds (dried and finely ground)
.25 cup or less Unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp Cinnamon
Coconut or Almond oil to moisten

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Blend until thoroughly combined. May add 1/2 cup powdered milk for variety, but will need to add more oil. Also, can substitute brown sugar for salts. On damp skin, scrub your skin with mixture and then rinse off well. Finish with body lotion.

3. Susan Ciminelli Day Spa & Salon:

Celebrity Client: Ashanti

Treatment: Pureed Pumpkin & Prune Enzyme Peel

DIY / AT-HOME TREATMENT:

This peel is perfect for every kind of skin. The salicylic acid in pumpkin and prunes helps remove a buildup of oil in the pores and will brighten your complexion.

.5 cup pitted prunes
.5 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

Combine the prunes with 4 cups spring water in a pot and heat on low 30 minutes or until very tender and plump. Then, mix the prunes and pumpkin puree in a food processor and pulse until it forms a smooth paste. Apply the mixture to a clean face and neck and leave on 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
