‘High School Musical 2’ Debuts First Song

“High School Musical” mania officially returns tomorrow!

Radio Disney will premiere “What Time Is It,” the first song from the highly anticipated Disney Channel original movie “High School Musical 2,” tomorrow at 8:00 AM (ET) during Radio Disney’s Planet Premiere feature.

The song will will be highlighted throughout the day, airing once during each airshift on Radio Disney.

“What Time Is It” features the voices of the sequel’s cast, including Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman.

The new song is the rousing anthem track that sets the stage for “High School Musical 2,” picking up where the first movie left off: the last day of school. The song reintroduces the characters as they start their first day of summer.

A CD single of “What Time Is It” will be available in stores on July 17, followed by a full soundtrack release on August 14.

“High School Musical 2” premieres Friday, August 17 on The Disney Channel.
