Hilary Duff Gets Real About Her Past Body Insecurities: ‘I Didn’t Always Love My Legs’

Hilary
Duff has overcome one of her past insecurities, and can’t help but smile about
it!

The
“Younger” star took to Instagram on Thursday to share a body-positive
message with her fans, admitting that the road to confidence hasn’t necessarily
been an easy one.

“I didn’t always love my legs, but as I’ve grown, I’ve
learned to love and celebrate myself, just as I am,” she wrote, captioning
a bare-legged photo in which she wears just hipster briefs and a knotted
graphic tee.

The 29-year-old is pictured with a big grin, as she kicks her gams in the air atop a fluffy-looking bed. Hilary went on to explain that through focusing on what her body can do, instead of just what it looks like, she’s found a new source of pride.

“I began to realize that my legs are STRONG and they carry me every. single. day,” she continued. “Our bodies are amazing and something to be grateful for. I’m ME and that’s really enough!”

Mom to 4-year-old son Luca, Hilary has also acknowledged the physical changes she’s experienced during motherhood. Back in 2015, the actress told People how her perception and expectations have shifted since giving birth.

“Things don’t bounce back the way they used to, but I don’t need to be 110 lbs.,” she said at the time.

Adding, “I feel fit and strong and happy.”
