Hilary Duff & Mike Comrie Get Engaged In Hawaii

Mike Comrie has put a tropical ring on it.

Hilary Duff and her NHL star boyfriend are engaged, the former “Gossip Girl” actress’ rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Hilary Duff & Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii,” the rep said in a statement to Access. “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”

The couple did not reveal plans for a wedding date.

The news comes on the heels of Hilary’s ex, Joel Madden, himself announcing his engagement this week, to longtime love Nicole Richie. Nicole announced the news in a “The Late Show with David Letterman” segment, which will air on Friday night.

Joel and Hilary dated for over two years, splitting in late 2006.

And Mike — who plays for the Edmonton Oilers — wasn’t the only hockey star to go down on one knee in recent months for his celebrity sweetheart. Ottawa Senators star Mike Fisher proposed to girlfriend Carrie Underwood in December 2009.
