Iggy Azalea Talks Collaborating With Britney Spears For ‘Pretty Girls’

A pop hurricane (with Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea in the eye of the storm) is brewing and will make landfall on May 5!

Access Hollywood spoke with Iggy at Sunday’s iHeart Radio Music Awards, where she revealed what it was like collaborating with her fellow pop star for the song “Pretty Girls.”

“I’m super excited about it,” Iggy said of the song, which she calls “awesome.”

In addition to rapping on “Pretty Girls,” Iggy will be behind the camera for the song’s video.

“I’m gonna be co-directing the video next week,” she told Access. “So that’s been awesome, not only just getting to work with [Britney] and write the song, but being able to have something to do with the visual… . It’s just been great. It’s just been an honor that she would let me do that for her, so I’m super excited.”

Iggy has helmed multiple videos before, directing her own videos for “Trouble” and “Black Widow,” but this time she’s feeling a new pressure.

“It will be my first time directing somebody else’s video,” she explained. “I’m really nervous about it. I want to do her justice!”

The Australian rapper might be co-directing the video, but Brit has also had her hand in the creative process.

“She’s had her own input in. And it’s been a cool process because I’ve got her number, so I’ve been harassing her. ‘What do you think about this?’ And she’s added some of her ideas as well,” Iggy explained.
