Jane Lynch Talks Filming Glee Finale: I Was ‘A Mess’

The seniors of “Glee” took their final stroll through the locker-lined hallways of William McKinley High on Tuesday’s season finale, and series star Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) said the FOX hit’s goodbye episode hit its mark.

“It was really a wonderful sendoff for the seniors,” Jane told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman of Tuesday’s “Glee” Season 3 finale at the “American Idol” Season 11 finale in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

While Jane has known graduation was imminent for the show’s senior class, the Emmy Award-winning actress was surprised by the flood of emotion she experienced while shooting a farewell scene with co-star Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray).

“Sue saying goodbye to Quinn was really moving,” Jane said. “I didn’t expect to be so moved until it all started happening.

“We started shooting it and we were both kind of a mess!” she added.

One “Glee” newcomer Jane’s hoping will return for Season 4 is “The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” NeNe Leakes.

“Oh God, I hope [she’ll be back],” Jane said of the reality star-turned-small-screen-force. “She was so good and she continues to be really good! I loved working with her, so I hope she’ll be back.”
