Jason Sudeikis Confirms Saturday Night Live Exit After 10 Seasons

It’s official – Jason Sudeikis will not return to “Saturday Night Live.”

The comedian confirmed the long-rumored departure in an interview with David Letterman for Wednesday night’s “Late Show.”

“I’m definitely done,” the actor told Letterman. “I’m not coming back in the fall.”

Sudeikis – who spent the past 10 seasons on the popular NBC late night show (eight as a castmember and two prior as a writer) – is the latest member of the troupe to announce they were leaving the series.

Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s final episodes were the May 18 season finale.

Seth Meyers will also be leving the “Weekend Update” anchor’s chair, as he takes over for Jimmy Fallon as the host of NBC’s “Late Night” franchise in 2014.

Sudeikis – who parlayed his “SNL” fame into big screen roles in movies including “Horrible Bosses,” “Hall Pass,” “The Campaign” and the upcoming “We’re The Millers” with Jennifer Aniston – said he is leaving the show with nothing but positive feelings.

“It’s been fantastic,” he told Letterman of his run on the show. “It’s been really, really amazing. I was very, very lucky.”
