Congrats are in order for “Today” show’s Jenna Bush Hager!
Jenna and husband Henry welcomed their second child on Thursday – and gave her a special family name.
“Welcome to the WORLD Poppy Louise Hager—named after my darling Gamps who went by Poppy during his childhood,” Jenna captioned an adorable family photo on Instagram, showing the proud parents holding their new bundle of joy.
“We are in LOVE,” she added.
As it turns out, it’s not just Poppy’s first name which carries special family significance. Her middle name, Louise, is a tribute to both parents’ grandmothers’ middle names, which were Louise and Lewis.
“We are so thrilled to name her after a man we so adore,” dad Henry told “Today” of Poppy’s first name. “We are thrilled.”
The new baby – who weighed 7 lbs., 9 oz. at birth – joins big sister Mila, 2.
And, Poppy also has a special connection to another new member of the “Today” show family – she shares the same birthday with Savannah Guthrie’s daughter Vale, who was born August 13, 2014.
