“She was treated for food poisoning and released,” the statement continued.

The singer was forced to cancel an appearance on CBS’ “Early Show,” which was also schedule for Friday.

In related star illness news, as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Selena Gomez was forced to pull out of a promotional appearance for her new film “Monte Carlo” on Friday after the star was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
