Jennifer Lawrence Defends Working Relationship With David O. Russell

Jennifer Lawrence wants fans to know that her working relationship with director David O. Russell is good.

The actress took to Facebook after reports surfaced claiming she and the director of her upcoming film, “Joy,” had a big argument on the set in Boston, Mass.

“It’s Jen! I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up,” she wrote on the social media platform, without specifically identifying the rumor she was addressing.

“David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it,” she concluded.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that an eyewitness claimed to the outlet that the director screamed at his star in an argument on Tuesday.

Jennifer and David have worked together on a number of films. Previously, he directed her in “American Hustle” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” the movie that won her an Oscar.
