Jennifer Lawrence Talks Hunger Games Cast Bonding (Exclusive)

On the big screen, the stars of “The Hunger Games” are embroiled in a battle for their lives, but when the cameras stopped rolling – and the weapons were put down – the cast became fast friends.

In an exclusive first look at a behind-the-scenes clip from the “The Hunger Games” Blu-ray/DVD (available on August 18), star Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) talks about growing close with her co-stars.

”[It was a] huge bonding experience, because you spend so much time with these people,” the actress said of filming on location throughout North Carolina in 2011.

“In the time it takes to film a movie, you’re spending the same amount of time with them as probably a friend of like a few years,” she explained. “Because you see them scattered out throughout the years, but this is somebody you see 16 hours a day with for five months.”

See more with Jennifer and her co-stars Alexander Ludwig (Cato) – who said shooting the film was “one of the best summers” – and Jacqueline Emerson (Foxface) from the exclusive behind-the-scenes clip, HERE!

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” begins shooting in the fall and is slated for theatrical release on November 22, 2013.
