Jennifer Lopez: My Kids Prefer ‘Dora The Explorer’ Over ‘American Idol’

Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson are back for another season of “American Idol” – but not everyone in J.Lo’s house is a fan of her FOX series.

The superstar sat down with Access Hollywood correspondent Jill Martin on Monday where she explained that twins Max and Emme – who will turn 4 next month – aren’t exactly “Idol” fanatics just yet.

“They do [watch,] but they really don’t. They’ll see it for a second and go, ‘Oh, mommy,’” she said. “And then they’ll go watch ‘Dora The Explorer,’ or whatever — something else.”

The 42-year-old – who, in addition to “Idol,” has a movie (“What To Expect When You’re Expecting”) and new album on the way, her continuing Kohls collection, a fragrance and new reality show (“Q’Viva! The Chosen” with ex Marc Anthony) – considered not returning to the hit FOX reality competition.

“You ask a fighter right after the fight if they’re ever going to fight again and they’re like, ‘No, never!’” she explained. “You need to go a few months to recuperate. [Last season] was a rollercoaster ride in the sense that I’d never done live television. That was a first for me, but it wasn’t just live TV, it was everything I was doing with it.”

Earlier on Monday, J.Lo appeared on the “Today” show, where Matt Lauer asked some probing personal questions about whether she could see herself getting married again. (Read more about that interview, HERE!)

“The best way to handle things is with honesty, you know, being yourself,” she told Jill of her “Today” interview. “I am a laugher and a giggler through interviews anyways, so I just try to be playful with it and honest.”
