Despite a report that the men of the “Jersey Shore” were tricked into appearing on The Village Voice’s Queer Issue cover, one member of the self-described “guido” pack is cool with the exposure.
“I don’t give a s*** man,” “Shore” star Vinny Guadagino told E! Online’s Marc Malkin when asked about being shirtless on the newspaper’s annual gay-themed issue with co-stars Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
“I’ve done so many photoshoots and they’re pretty much all the same. I go in there, do my thing, take my shirt off, get my hair and my make-up done and they dress me,” he continued. “I take the pictures and wherever they end up, they end up. As long as I look good, that’s all I care about.”
According to The New York Post’s Page Six, the newspaper did not tell the GTL trio what the theme of the issue would be prior to losing their shirts and showing off their abs.
The annual gay issue, titled, “The Guido Ideal,” investigates the closeted gay community in the Shore area of the Garden State.
In December, The Situation told E! that he doesn’t mind getting noticed by other men, saying, “I’ll be honest, I like the attention. I’m flattered if there are guys with different preferences that have crushes on me.”
Ronnie, who made headlines in February following his homophobic rant taken from unaired footage of the MTV series that surfaced on YouTube, has not commented about appearing on The Village Voice cover.
After his comments went public, Ronnie apologized via a Tweet, writing, “In the heat of the moment i said a lot of things i didnt mean and im very sorry… i love my creepy fans.”
DJ Pauly D did not make an appearance on The Village Voice cover.
