‘Jersy Shore’ Stars The Situation & Pauly D Strike Back At Abercrombie For Using Their Catch Phrase

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has something to say about retailer Abercrombie & Fitch’s offer to pay him to wear another brand’s clothing on “Jersey Shore.”

“Looks like Abercrombie got themself into a Situation!” the MTV reality star Tweeted on Wednesday, followed by a link to a CNN finance article noting that the brand’s stock had dipped by nine percent.

The retailer, whose outlets are known for their dark stores filled with loud music, said on Tuesday it would offer a “substantial payment” to The Sitch, or any of his castmates, as long as they stopped wearing the label’s gear on “Jersey Shore.”

Abercrombie said the series is “contrary to the aspirational nature of the brand.”

Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio had his own comment, calling the brand out on Twitter for reportedly previously selling shirts with the “Jersey Shore” gang’s famous catch phrase – GTL – gym, tan, and laundry.

“Hmmm if They Don’t Want Us To Wear Those Clothes Why Make GTL Shirts #yourPRsux,” he wrote, Tweeting to a picture of an Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirt with “GTL” stamped on it above the word “Fitch.”
