Joe Manganiello Reveals Plans For Possible Magic Mike Prequel

“Magic Mike” is inching its way toward $100 million in box office earnings and Joe Manganiello said another installment could be in the cards.

“You can do the prequel — how the guys got there,” Joe told AccessHollywood.com ahead at his “True Blood” fan autograph signing at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego on Saturday. “There are endless possibilities. We’re talking about it right now.”

Joe, who played Big Dick Richie in “Magic Mike” (and Alcide Herveaux on “True Blood”), said he would jump back into the fold with the big screen male stripper gang in a heartbeat.

“Hell yeah,” he said. “Are you kidding? ‘Magic Mike’ may have been — other than ‘True Blood’ — the most fun I think I’ve ever had in my life.

“I love those guys, the guys I got to work with,” he continued. “The stuff we were doing is just about as fun as it gets.”

Joe said the addition of the ladies in the film – who screamed at his superstar male revue, including Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Matthew McConaughey — made it especially fun.

“I mean, come on. You’re literally grinding on women – screaming women – for money,” he laughed.

The hunky actor has seen his popularity skyrocket this summer thanks to “Magic Mike.”

“Oh wow, it’s just been such a wild ride,” he told Access. “I feel like I’ve dry humped every single daytime talk show host in New York City… But yeah, a lot of body rolling has been the request lately.”

And after the success of “Magic Mike,” the actor has a big fall ahead of him, as well.

“I’m going to follow up my male stripping with doing a staged reading of Tennessee Williams ‘Small Craft Warnings’ with Bill Macy… at the end of July,” Joe confirmed. “I’m going to shoot a movie with Jason Sudeikis and Rose Byrne in the fall called ‘Tumble Down.’ And I’m going to go back to Pittsburgh to host a charity event for Children’s Hospital and then we’re going to try and figure out some other stuff to shoot before I have to go back [to ‘True Blood’].”

“True Blood” Season 5 still has a few episodes to go before it wraps up its latest run, and as fans know, Joe’s Alcide and Anna Paquin’s Sookie Stackhouse characters finally had a make out session.

“Finally, yeah, and then she threw up on me,” Joe laughed.

And while there’s plenty of drama with ancient vampire Russell Edgington now on the loose, Joe hopes to see more loving in Alcide and Sookie’s future.

“Minus some peach schnapps, hopefully,” he said.
