Julius Tennon Proud Of Wife Viola Davis For Going Wigless At The Oscars: ‘She Wanted To Just Be Herself’

Viola Davis has been showing off her natural hair of late and “The Help” star’s husband, Julius Tennon, says he couldn’t be more proud of his wife’s bold beauty move.

“It’s her decision,” Julius told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush of Viola’s au naturel look on the red carpet at the 84th Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday. “I’ve been encouraging her all along, but tonight, she made the decision she wanted to come out and just be herself, be who she is, stepping into everything she has this season.

“It’s been amazing,” he added. “She’s found her voice and it’s a wonderful thing.”

Viola, 46, who was nominated for Best Actress for her moving portrayal of Aibileen Clark in the film, told Billy she’s thankful to have her husband’s support.

“That’s why I love him,” she said with a smile.

“You’re not gonna give him the axe?” Billy joked.

“Oh no,” she replied. “I’m not giving him to anybody else!”
