Justin Bieber might be the teen king of swag, but the singing superstar isn’t afraid to admit a few faults.
The young star shared his “insecurities” when he spoke to the “Today” show’s Matt Lauer before performing for over 10,000 adoring fans in New York City on Friday.
“I’m 18 and have a lot of insecurities. At the end of the day, me, being in my position, doesn’t get rid of those insecurities,” the singer told Matt.
He also spoke about making the transition from teen star to adult star.
“I think [my new album, ‘Believe,’] is about proving people wrong and going out there and making good music and going out there and performing better than everyone else,” Justin continued. “That’s what I have to do to cross over [to being an adult performer], or else I’ll just be another teen heartthrob, and I want to be remembered.”
Matt also asked the “Boyfriend” singer about his recent run-in with a glass wall during a performance in Paris.
“Let’s not talk about it. I’m pretty clumsy and I don’t see glass walls. I think I wasn’t wired to see glass walls,” the singer, who received a concussion after the May incident, said. “I’m all right. I’ve had concussions, I used to play hockey.”
