Justin Bieber’s Paternity Suit Dropped

The paternity lawsuit against Justin Bieber has reportedly been dropped.

According to TMZ, the case filed by Mariah Yeater, who claimed the 17-year-old singer fathered her 3-month-old baby, was dismissed last week.

Yeater’s lawyers reportedly withdrew from the case after Bieber’s team threatened legal action.

A rep for Bieber told Access, “As we’ve said from the beginning, it’s sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim. We’ll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a source told Access that Bieber had made arrangements to take a DNA test and planned to take harsh legal action against Yeater for her claims.

Earlier this month, the singer told Matt Lauer during an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show, “To set the record straight, none of it is true… never met the woman.”

His rep previously told Access, “It’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”
