Kanye West Still Scheduled To Appear On ‘The Jay Leno Show’

Kanye West will once again take the national stage on Monday night – only this time, hopefully he’ll be better behaved.

Following his interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night in New York City, Kanye will still make his scheduled appearance on the debut of “The Jay Leno Show” in Burbank, Calif., on Monday night.

“He is still scheduled to perform,” a spokesperson for NBC confirmed to Access on Monday.

Kanye will join Jay-Z and Rihanna as Leno’s first musical act on his new show, which debuts at 10 PM on NBC.

On Sunday night, as country cutie Taylor was accepting her award for Best Female Video for her song, “You Belong To Me,” the outspoken rapper stormed the stage and abruptly interrupted the singer.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” Kanye said, earning boos from the crowd as Beyonce looked shocked while seated in the audience.

A source on the scene told Access Hollywood on Sunday night that Kanye was kicked out of the ceremony shortly thereafter.

Following the show, Taylor took the high road while speaking to reporters about the incident.

“I don’t know him and I’ve never met him,” she continued, saying that she is a fan of Kanye’s music, but wants to avoid any sort of feud with the rapper. “You know I just… I don’t know him and I don’t want to start anything because I just, you know, I had a great night tonight.”
