Karolina Kurkova On ‘G.I. Joe’: ‘I Like Being A Tough Girl’

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova makes her big screen debut later this month in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” and the star told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush she’s here to stay in Hollywood.

“It was an amazing experience,” she told Billy in an interview for “The Billy Bush Show.” “Coming from my world of 10-inch stilettos and wings and [having] photographers follow me and wind machines – coming to the set where I’m a soldier and wearing camouflage and boots with guns and gadgets, it’s a good change. I like being a tough girl.”

Still, she’s disappointed that her character, Courtney “Cover Girl” Kreiger, didn’t get to join in the thick of the action.

“I don’t get to shoot any guns,” Karolina revealed. “Cover Girl, she’s a tough girl, [but] she’s the brain, she’s behind her desk all the time – she’s more the quiet girl. I don’t get any action scenes. I was very upset about that. Hopefully next time.”

And while the Victoria’s Secret model said she’s looking forward to doing more work in the movies, she’s got another role lined up first: Mom.

“I’m 6 months and 10 days [pregnant] today,” she gushed. “I’m so excited, I’m ecstatic. I’ve been really lucky, my whole pregnancy’s been just amazing for now — I haven’t been sick one day, I’m wearing heels, I’m traveling, I’m working, nothing really changed for me yet.”

Instead, it’s her fiance who’s been most affected by her pregnancy.

“He is experiencing more symptoms than I am,” Karolina laughed. “He’s constipated, he can’t sleep, he’s putting on weight… it’s nice to have a partner you can share such a special experience [with].”
