Katie Holmes: Suri Will ‘Probably’ Follow In Mom & Dad’s Acting Footsteps

Katie Holmes is already predicting daughter Suri Cruise, 5, will follow in her parents’ footsteps.

“I think she’s going to do a lot of different things. She’s an amazing athlete, singer, and dancer, and I think she’ll probably be an actress,” Katie told the August 2011 issue of InStyle magazine.

Suri definitely puts her mom through her paces, and Katie said not all of them are pleasant.

“I’ve been thrown up on many times, right in the face,” she said.

Katie confirmed that the preschooler already chooses her own clothes, but sometimes, those decisions get mom in trouble.

“I have to be a good parent in my own heart first. I’m not going to choose making people happy over doing the right thing for my child,” the actress told the magazine about the criticism she sometimes receives for her daughter’s choices.

The actress said she steers clear of the web, but she does know which criticisms come her way.

“I do know what’s being said: I am briefed,” she noted.

Katie confirmed she is currently not pregnant, and she said she isn’t currently thinking about adding another baby to the family.

“I don’t feel pressure to do that,” she told InStyle. “We already have a very big family: a full household with cousins who are over a lot, and she has her friends. My biggest thing is making sure she’s fully taken care of and doing well.”

Beyond talk of Suri, Katie shared a little about her relationship with husband Tom Cruise, when asked what type of romantic the “Rock of Ages” star is.

“He’s manly romantic,” the actress said. “Two years ago he took me up on his P-51 Mustang, a fighter plane from World War II. He’d painted the words, ‘Kiss Me, Kate,’ on the side.”

Katie will next appear on the big screen in “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” due out on August 26.
