She’s made no secret of wishing to get pregnant, but Kelly Clarkson needs to wish no longer. The original “American Idol” is expecting her first child.
“I’m pregnant,” Kelly posted on her Twitter and Facebook pages on Tuesday afternoon. “Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)”
Kelly and Brandon Blackstock said “I do” in October, tying the knot in Blackberry Farms, Tenn.

“I already told [Brandon] that when we’re past the wedding, I want a baby. I was like, ‘That’s my Christmas present that you can give me,’” the 31-year-old singer told Access Hollywood in October.
The singer and newlywed has some practice at parenting. Brandon has two kids from a previous marriage – Savannah, 11, and Seth – and Kelly has bonded with them.
“I love doing homework with them. I love just the whole thing. It can get overwhelming for every parent, especially with your schedules when you’re working and stuff. But, at the end of the day, it’s so much fun just to come home,” she told Access at the time.
The happy news comes just a few days after Kelly lost her best friend – her dog Joplin.
