Could Britney Spears’ recent series of public escapades cost her custody of her kids?
Kevin Federline is currently taking steps to seek sole custody of the couple’s two children, according to OK! Magazine.
Aiding Kevin in his fight is Brit’s cousin and former assistant, Alli Sims, who reportedly turned to K-Fed to help him win custody.
“Alli gave specific instances where Brit couldn’t handle having the kids. Kevin was angry at Britney for putting his kids in jeopardy and immediately phoned his lawyer to investigate the claims further. He couldn’t believe she had gotten so out of control,” a source told OK!
In fact, the magazine says Kevin spent several hours on Monday with his lawyer discussing the options to get Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 10 months, out of the pop star’s care.
But Brit’s former assistant isn’t the only lending her services to the K-Fed camp. OK! reports Britney’s mom has also reached out to Kevin, offering detailed information about Britney’s ongoing erratic behavior.
“Kevin is worried about Sean and Jayden’s safety. He had heard bits and pieces of what was going on from Brit’s mother, Lynne [Spears] and from the bodyguards but has been trying to focus on getting along with her and didn’t want to believe she had completely lost it,” a source close to K-Fed reportedly told OK!
Kevin’s legal team is reportedly currently redrafting the divorce settlement to Britney’s recent public and private problems and has already contacted her lawyers to set up a meeting.
