Khloe Kardashian Talks Brother Rob’s Struggles: ‘I Can’t Win Life’ For Him

Khloe Kardashian is opening up about another man in her
life facing personal challenges.

The reality star has been tending to estranged husband
Lamar Odom since his hospitalization on Oct. 13, but in a new cover story for
People magazine Khloe discusses her concern for younger brother Rob Kardashian.

Rob has stayed away from the spotlight for more than a
year while battling depression and a 100-pound weight gain, according to
People, but his sister told the mag that she believes the
28-year-old is naturally equipped with the tools he needs to build a fulfilling
life.

“Rob is such a great guy,” Khloe said.
“He’s charming, charismatic, everything. That’s what’s so infuriating. I’m
like, ‘Where is your will to live life? Let’s be around people!'”

While the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”
star said it can be frustrating to witness Rob’s struggles, she realizes it’s
ultimately up to him to make healthy changes.

“I’ve been working on my patience,” she told
the mag. “I’ve been really trying. But I have my moments and I
do snap. I’ve offered to get a chef. I’m like, ‘What’s your excuse?’ But it’s
not just that. I can’t win life for Rob. I have to wait until [he’s] ready to
do it for himself.”

Khloe went on to say
that she believes Rob’s difficulties stem from the loss of their father in
2003.

“My dad died when Rob was 16. Rob doesn’t have a
father figure in his life,” she said. “When Bruce [now Caitlyn Jenner] was around, he was great, but he
was going through his own things that none of us understood at the time.”

She continued, saying that her 2013 split from Lamar may
have contributed to the problem.

“Once Lamar left – and it’s not Lamar’s fault at
all – I think Rob didn’t know where to go,” the 31-year-old added.
“He was like, ‘I don’t have guidance anymore.'”

Khloe said she’s “sad” about Rob’s
situation “because he’s only wasting his life more and more,” but
told the mag that no matter what, he’s never alone.

“He has so many people who want to help him,”
she said.
