King Kong & Godzilla Big Screen Showdown In The Works?

Are King Kong and Godzilla headed for battle on the big screen?

According to Deadline and Entertainment Weekly, “Kong: Skull Island” – the “King Kong” spinoff — is leaving Universal and heading to Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has the rights to a sequel to 2014’s massive hit “Godzilla,”which many are speculating could lead to the two movie monsters appearing in the same film.

“Kong: Skull Island,” which stars Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, is currently slated to hit theaters March 10, 2017.

The plot of “Skull Island” is being kept under wraps, but according to EW, it’s set on the mysterious island home of the giant primate.

King Kong and Godzilla last battled it out on the big screen in 1962’s “King Kong vs. Godzilla.”
