Kristin Cavallari’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Blog: My Marilyn Monroe-Inspired Quickstep

We survived the quickstep!!! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me and Mark last night!

One of my favorite things about the night has to be dressing up as Marilyn Monroe. She’s such an icon and I was honored to have the chance to play her for a night.

The second we heard our song, “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend,” we knew I had to channel my inner Marilyn!

My experience last night was completely different than the first night. The first night I was incredibly nervous, but last night I was actually able to relax and just have fun with it.

I tried to really focus on “bringing it.” I felt like I was able to put more personality into it and just come out stronger. I still feel like there’s more I need to work on, but overall I was happy with it.

A few days before, Mark and I went to the iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard to see Marilyn’s hand and foot prints to help bring my character to life.

Back in those days it was all about sparkle, glitz and MAJOR glamour. And what girl doesn’t love that? It was a great way to help us prepare for last night’s theme and to get really excited about it.

Hopefully Mark and I will make it through Tuesday’s elimination to bring even more glitz and glamour next week!

Thanks for all the support!!!

xx,

Kristin
