Lance Bass: No *NSYNC Reunion Planned

It’s news that is bound to tear up many hearts – it appears hopes of an *NSYNC reunion are gone.

“It would be lovely to do it, but we’ve got nothing planned,” Lance Bass told The Associated Press on Monday, following a 90-second reunion with his former boy band members at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

With Justin Timberlake’s tour in full swing, a further reunion with Lance, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick won’t happen – at least not anytime soon.

“Who knows what will happen when he’s off tour. It’s simply not part of the conversation right now. We just focused on that one performance,” Lance continued. “If we did anything like that, I think we would come up with something real special where we could actually call it `The Reunion.’”

The “Dirty Pop With Lance Bass” host on Sirius XM revealed how they managed to keep their appearance at Sunday’s show a secret on the big night.

“We had to perform in the middle of the arena, so there was no way of getting us out there without being seen. So they dressed us in big ole hoodies to pretend we were the stagehands. So we would push out the stage and do all the stagehand stuff until we got to the area and hid out beneath a staircase,” he explained. “That was my favorite part.”

Lance, an uncle, whose nieces and nephews tuned in to see him perform, said the night’s racy performances posed a bit of a challenge for him.

“I didn’t know I had to warn them that their little Hannah Montana was going to be naked and humping a finger,” he said of Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke’s headline-making VMA appearance.

Adding, “I think it’s [Miley’s] thing. I think she shocked a lot of her younger fans, especially the parents, who might not be so happy with her thing, and she’s just being Miley.”
