Lauren Conrad Returning To MTV For Her Own New Reality Show

Lauren Conrad is returning to MTV for her own new reality show, the network confirmed to Access Hollywood on Friday.

The blond beauty, who got her start on MTV’s hit reality series “Laguna Beach” (and later went on to star in “The Hills”), made the unofficial announcement on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Friday morning.

“If I were going to do a reality show, it would probably start in October,” the actress told Ryan on his KIIS-FM morning show, when asked if filming on her new project had begun.

The show will be set in Los Angeles and will center around Lauren’s burgeoning fashion career. The former star of “The Hills” said her personal life (including her boyfriend, former “My Boys” star Kyle Howard) would be strictly off limits.

“I’ve always been open to doing reality again – it’s just under certain circumstances,” she said. “I think that as long as you have a separation, um, then it works. You have your personal life and you have work life, and when they’re combined, it’s difficult.”

As for whether her former “Hills” co-stars are aware of the new project, Lauren said, “Everyone will know what’s going on next week when [MTV makes] the official announcement.”
