Lea Michele Opens Up About Loss Of Cory Monteith: ‘There Was No Greater Man’

Lea Michele is breaking her silence about the death of boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith.

On the eve of the late actor’s “Glee” tribute episode, the 27-year-old opened up to TV Week Australia about losing her love.

“For me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn,” the actress said. “We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic.”

Being back at work on her Fox series has been both difficult and comforting for the grieving actress.

“Everyone is asking: ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?’, but the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in life,” she continued. “So we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.”

Lea is trying to cherish the time she spent with Cory, who died from a drug overdose in Vancouver on July 13.

“I woke up every single day feeling like I was in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life,” she explained. “There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together, I consider myself very lucky.”

The special tribute “Glee” episode, which will remember Cory’s Finn character, airs Thursday on Fox at 9 PM.
