LeAnn Rimes Returns To Stage For First Time Since Seeking Treatment For Stress

LeAnn Rimes headed back to the stage on Friday night to perform her first concert since announcing she’d checked herself into rehab for help with stress and anxiety.

The county crooner, 30, addressed the issue with the audience, telling her fans she didn’t want to ignore the “elephant in the room.”

“I’m totally cool and so happy; I think I’m about to cry,” LeAnn told the crowd at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center in Eau Claire, Wis., according to People. “Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.”

LeAnn performed 14 songs, including new music from her upcoming album, which the singer said is her most emotionally raw album to date.

“On this new record, I guess I bared everything down to the core,” she said, according to the mag, adding that she’s “pissed off at a lot of things” but “can’t say it.”

“So, it comes out in the music,” she added.

One new ballad – “Borrowed” — seemed to point to her relationship with husband Eddie Cibrian, who was married to Brandi Glanville when they met.

The song, which LeAnn dubbed “the most honest song I’ve written,” includes the lyrics, “I don’t want to give you back. You’re the best I’ve ever had.”

LeAnn later thanked her concert-goers via Twitter, writing, “Thanks to all my wonderful fans in Wisconsin. You showed me an amazing amount of love and respect tonight. Love you always.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, last week, LeAnn entered a treatment program to get help with dealing with stress.

“LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,” the singer’s rep, Marcel Pariseau, told Access Hollywood at the time. “While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”

The country star’s rep also clarified LeAnn is not seeking treatment for any type of substance abuse or eating disorder.
