Lindsay Lohan Hoping To Reignite Acting Career With ‘Gotti: Three Generations’ Film Role

Embattled actress Lindsay Lohan is plotting her return to the big screen and she’s hoping to do it in the John Travolta fronted film, “Gotti: Three Generations.”

“I’ve been speaking to some of the producers… and we’re discussing me possibly having a role in the film, which is very exciting,” Lindsay told a crew at the press conference for the project on Tuesday.

The actress, who is currently back on the East Coast, said she thinks the project, directed by Nick Cassavetes, is a fascinating one.

“I think it’s an amazing story in the things that the Gotti’s have gone through over the years and just everything that comes with that family. I think is an incredible story to tell,” she said.

In recent weeks, Victoria Gotti, daughter of late crime boss John Gotti, has reportedly been championing Lindsay for the role, and while Lindsay didn’t say specifically she was going after the Victoria part, she did hint at it.

“I’ve never portrayed someone that I know in a film, so this would be the first, which is very exciting,” she said.

Lindsay said she actually met Victoria Gotti when she was “younger.”

“She’s good friends with my mom, [Dina Lohan], and I met Mr. Gotti when I was younger too — when I was three — which is really funny,” she added.

Lindsay also said she appreciates some of the characteristics of the mobster’s daughter.

“I like that Victoria, she’s a very strong woman and I really appreciate and respect that,” she said.

The actress added that she can relate to the Gottis because, “it’s a Long Island family, it’s just like mine.”

In related Lindsay news, as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the actress is required to appear in court in Los Angeles on April 22 for a preliminary hearing related to her felony grand theft case over an alleged stolen necklace.
