Madonna Speaks Out On Behalf Of ‘Single Working Moms’ Amid Custody Dispute

Madonna is no stranger to expressing herself as an artist, but now she’s speaking out as a mom as well.

The superstar took to social media on Saturday to defend her parenting skills, and call attention to an issue that she called “the next great Frontier.”

“It’s possible to be an entertainer and a good mother!!!” she wrote on Instagram, captioning a throwback family snap of herself lounging with her four children.

“Too bad we don’t live in a society where many encourage strong independent single working moms!” she continued, adding the hashtags “#revolutionoflove” and “#rebelheart4ever.”

Commenters interpreted the post as a reference to the reported conflict between Madonna and her ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie, over their 15-year-old son, Rocco.

As previously reported on Access Hollywood, the teenager was on tour with the pop legend this past fall before flying to England to stay with his dad.

Rocco declined to come back to the U.S. for the holidays as planned and remains overseas, despite a reported judge’s order to return home.

Guy and Rocco were photographed riding bicycles together in London on Saturday.

Following her passionate message, Madonna brought son David, 10, and daughter Mercy, 9, to her ex-husband Sean Penn’s annual Help Haiti Home gala in Beverly Hills.
