Chmerkovskiy and fiancée Peta Murgatroyd have welcomed their first child
together.
Peta
and Maks both confirmed the news of their son’s birth on Twitter on Wednesday morning,
revealing their little one’s name, and the date and time he was born.

The couple also shared a statement about their happy news.
“This is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to us!” Maks and Peta said in a statement provided by their rep to Access Hollywood.

Maks shared a fun snap of Peta in hospital on January 2.
“But first…a little make up,” he captioned the photo.
Maks’ brother, pro Val Chmerkovskiy, revealed on Instagram on Tuesday he was missing a date on the “Dancing with the Stars Live!” tour so he could be there to support his brother and Peta as they welcomed their first child.
“Amazing news. I’m about to be an uncle! Family means the most to me so I’m with them now. Sadly I’ll be missing the show tonight in Richmond but I’ll be back in Lancaster tomorrow. Love y’all. and appreciate you understanding. I’ll make it up to you,” Val wrote on Instagram.

And, shortly after his nephew’s birth was announced, Val tweeted, “and just like that there’s a new purpose in all our lives. what a blessing.”
