Marc Anthony Files For Divorce From Jennifer Lopez

Marc Anthony has officially filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

Marc filed the papers on April 9 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, nine months after the couple announced their surprising split.

In his filing, obtained by Access Hollywood and filed under his real name Marco Muniz, he cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

Marc has asked the court to deny any request from Jennifer for spousal support and is also asking for joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s 4-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

It was back in July 2011 that J.Lo and Marc announced they were calling it quits after seven years of marriage.

“We have decided to end our marriage,” the pair said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood at the time. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusions on all matters.

“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continued.

This marks the third divorce for Jennifer – who was previously married to dancer Cris Judd (2001-2002) and waiter Ojani Noa (1997-1998).

It is the second divorce for Marc, who was previously married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Tores from 2000 – 20002.

While their marriage is now officially over, their working relationship continues.

Marc & J.Lo will reunite to perform on-stage on May 26 in Las Vegas as part of their upcoming reality talent competition “Q’Viva! The Chosen,” for which they are executive producers.
