Mariah Carey
will soon be singing a brand new tune – her wedding song!
The
superstar is set to tie the knot with Australian billionaire James Packer, Access Hollywood
has confirmed.
“The
happy couple got engaged tonight,” Mariah’s rep said in a statement to
Access on Thursday, adding that the proposal took place in New York City.
This will be
the third marriage for both the “We Belong Together” singer and her
new fiancé, who made their red carpet debut as a couple in September.
Just two
months later, Mariah dished to Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez about finding
love with her 48-year old beau.

“He’s just
an incredible guy. He really is a good person, and that’s hard to find,”
she said.
Adding, “I
think anybody that’s a friend of his would say the same thing, if not more, so
I can’t say enough nice things about him. He’s just a spectacular guy.”
Mariah and James have
five children between them from previous relationships, including 4-year-old
twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom the music diva shares with her ex-husband Nick
Cannon.
