“Max’s first swim,” Mark captioned the snap, in which he gently holds his baby girl afloat while keeping one hand cradled under her head.

Max’s arrival has inspired much more than just photo ops, however.

As previously reported, Mark and his wife, Priscilla Chan, also revealed plans to take their philanthropic efforts to the next level in the hopes of giving Max “a world better than ours.”

In an open letter shared on Dec. 1, the couple announced the launch of their Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, an organization with which they’ll invest 99 percent of their Facebook stockholdings over their lifetimes to causes such as “curing disease,” “harnessing clean energy,” and “providing equal rights.”
