Matthew Morrison Shares New Details About Ricky Martin’s ‘Glee’ Appearnce, Which Pop Hit He’s Tackling

He shook his “bon bon” all over the world, but on “Glee,” Ricky Martin is tackling someone else’s chart hit in his upcoming battle with Matthew Morrison’s Will Schuester.

At Sunday night’s FOX Television Critics Association party in Pasadena, Mathew revealed to AccessHollywood.com whose — and which — number Ricky is covering.

“His will be an LMFAO song,” Matthew told Access, confirming the Latin heartthrob performs the band’s current hit single, “Sexy and I Know It.”

And, Mr. Schue, has his own body rocking number, in the upcoming sing-off between the two men.

“Mine will be an Elvis Presley song – in Spanish,” Matthew said, declining to specify which standard from the King’s catalog he remade.

Matthew also shared with Access new details about how Ricky has been written into the Lima, Ohio, based drama.

“He came onto the show because my [character’s] Spanish speaking skills were coming into question, so I started attending night school and he was my teacher. He was my Spanish teacher,” Matthew told Access. “I go to night school now because I need to know how to speak Spanish so I can teach Spanish.”

From there, it’ll be Will Schuester who introduces Ricky’s character to McKinley High School.

“He comes in and I bring him into the Glee Club and people like, really love him, he’s a great teacher and stuff, so my job is kind of on the line now because the kids really love him,” Matthew said. “So we have to have a kind of like Espanol off. So he does a song, I do a song.”

While Ricky’s episodes aren’t coming until next month, the next new “Glee” episode features the moment fans have been waiting for between Will and Emma (Jayma Mays), when the New Directions coach proposes to the school’s guidance counselor.

“The proposal was so out of this world and so amazing,” he said of the upcoming scene.

While his “will you marry me,” is on the way, Matthew said there still hasn’t been any between-the-sheets action for Will and Emma. But does he hope the two will eventually get it on?

“It hasn’t been scripted yet, I hope so. I’m just like any other guy,” he laughed.

Matthew added he’s not surprised that Will and Emma have waited… and waited.

“She’s never had sex in her life yet. I’m interested to see if they’re gonna wait ‘til marriage,” he said.

“Glee” airs Tuesday nights at 8/7c on FOX.
