"The Americans" stars Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell made a visit to Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday night, where Matthew revealed he once hit on Keri long before they became a couple both on screen and off.
Matthew shared the story after a fan asked during a call-in segment about when they knew they were more than just co-stars on the FX drama.
"We actually met a very long, long time ago. And I very drunkenly asked her for her number when she was a young single, slip of a thing," Matthew told "WWHL" host Andy. "So I sort of knew then when I was 26."
Keri prompted Matthew to reveal where the moment took place.
"It was in a parking lot -- very romantic," he joked. "And she asked me to open a beer."
Keri added that the moment occurred following a kickball party.
After Andy asked when their relationship turned romantic, Keri said Matthew reminded her of their first meeting one day over lunch while they were shooting their FX show.
"Basically, we did all the readings together and all the things and after a heavy dose of a fight training – all sweaty, like at lunch, you said, 'You know, we've met before.' And I said, 'No we haven't.' And you said, 'Yeah, we met before, 10 years ago at like a kickball [party] …" Keri recounted.
During the couple's appearance on "WWHL," Andy also got Keri to play "Shag, Marry, Kill," giving her her former "Mickey Mouse Club" co-stars as choices – JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling.
"Tough," Matthew commented.

Keri and Matthew's FX series, "The Americans," airs Tuesdays at 10/9c.
