Melissa Rycroft To Join ‘Good Morning America’

She’s tried her hand on primetime ABC reality hits “The Bachelor” and “Dancing With the Stars” – but now, Melissa Rycroft is headed to a much earlier gig.

Melissa will be joining ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Sources have told Access Melissa will be working as a “special contributor” during the summer, doing “maybe eight or 10 pieces” for the popular morning show.

And while the deal is not official yet, Melissa will “start soon.”

On Wednesday, the reality starlet apparently couldn’t hide her excitement and hit up her Twitter page to spread the word.

“Guess who just got a job with Good Morning America??? WHAT?!?” she wrote.

When contacted by Access, sources for “GMA” would not confirm the news.

Melissa’s first reality TV appearance came on CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team” in 2006. She later joined the cast of “The Bachelor,” where she was infamously scorned by Jason Mesnick on national TV for another woman.

In 2009, she replaced Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell on “Dancing With the Stars” after Nancy withdrew due to a knee injury. Melissa finished third behind Gilles Marini and eventual champ Shawn Johnson.
