Michael Lohan ‘Upset’ Over Lindsay’s Bail Violation; Pleads To Keep Daughter Out Of Jail

Michael Lohan said he is “upset” over news that Lindsay Lohan may have violated the terms of her bail, after her SCRAM ankle bracelet reported a violation.

“I am disheartened and upset,” Michael said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday evening, after news of his daughter’s latest development broke. “This is a girl who is not a criminal but has a severe addiction problem.”

While Judge Marsha Revel doubled the actress’ bail to $200,000 after finding out about the SCRAM alert, Michael Lohan offered a plea to keep Lindsay out of jail.

“I do not want this girl in jail, she does not belong there,” he added. “I beg the court, the DA and Lindsay’s lawyer to finally listen to me and entertain my proposal to get Lindsay help, the help she needs.”

Michael also noted he would be headed out to LA in the wake of the latest development.

As reported earlier in the day on Tuesday by AccessHollywood.com, Judge Revel said Lindsay had violated the terms of her bail following a closed-door meeting with the Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, and a prosecutor. Revel did not identify what the exact violation was, however, she said her decision was made after receiving “results” issued by the SCRAM ankle alcohol monitoring device, according to The Associated Press.

In a series of messages posted to her Twitter page, Lindsay denied her SCRAM went off.

“My scram wasn’t set off-Its physically impossible considering I’ve nothing for it to go off-All of these false resports (sic) are absolutely wrong,” she wrote.
Lindsay was ordered to wear the device last month after missing her scheduled hearing.

She is due back in court on July 6, when Judge Revel will decide if the embattled starlet has violated her probation.

If she is found to be in violation, the judge could send her to jail.
