Michelle Obama Shares Touching First Family Throwback Photo

Michelle
Obama is looking back before moving forward.

Following
President Obama’s farewell address on Tuesday night, the First Lady shared a
heartwarming throwback photo of her husband and their two daughters, Malia and
Sasha, to honor the family’s eight years in the White House.

“So proud of POTUS and all that we’ve accomplished
together,” Michelle captioned the black-and-white shot, which shows her
and the President smiling with both girls on their laps. “What an
incredible journey filled with remarkable people. I love you Barack.”

The President became emotional while honoring his wife from the podium in Chicago, and the audience followed suit with a standing ovation for her. He also reflected on fatherhood with a sweet tribute to Malia and Sasha, to whom he tenderly referred as his most beloved accomplishment.

“Of all that I’ve done in my life, I’m most proud to be your dad,” he said.

While Harvard-bound Malia watched the speech from the crowd alongside her mother, 15-year-old Sasha wasn’t present for the event. Social media took notice, and the hashtag “#WhereIsSasha” quickly began trending.

Despite the evening being one of the President’s final public moments in office, the First Couple reportedly put Sasha’s education first.

According to a tweet from CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, the teen stayed behind to study for a school exam.
