Michelle Williams Denies Destiny’s Child Super Bowl Reunion

Will Destiny’s Child reunite for the Super Bowl halftime show? According to one third of the R&B super group, it’s not happening!

Following reports that Beyonce, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland will perform some of the group’s hits, including “Bills, Bills, Bills” & “Survivor,” Michelle told WRUG Media, “I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it’s not true.”

According to Michelle, she’s busy with another gig on Super Bowl Sunday.

“I’m going to be in the musical ‘Fela,’” she explained. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. But we did record a song with each other before the holidays.”

According to the show’s site, Michelle is not slated to perform in the touring production of the Tony Award-winning show during the two performances scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday.

Besides their new song, “Nuclear” – the group’s first in eight years – there could be a reunion down the road, says the singer.

“We have talked about it,” she said. “You know, one day soon.”

Beyonce (with or without Michelle and Kelly) will rock the Super Bowl XLVII crowd on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans.
