Mike Catherwood Asked To Tone Down His ‘Dancing’ Sexiness; Dr. Drew Threatens To Body Slam Bruno Over Bad Scores

Mike Catherwood may host a sex advice show on the radio, but apparently, the 32-year-old hunk is too sexy for television.

The “Loveline” radio host told Access Hollywood that he has been asked to tone down some of the sexual undertones in his press interviews and in the “Dancing with the Stars” ballroom.

“Yeah, yes I have actually,” Mike told Access last night at KROQ radio station in Los Angeles, where he was hosting “Loveline.”

“What?” his “Loveline” co-host, Dr. Drew Pinksy, chimed in, shocked to hear the news. “Just when you’re doing interviews? Not when you’re dancing?”

“At rehearsals and stuff like [that] ‘cause a representative said ‘Dancing with the Stars’ has told Lacey Schwimmer, my partner, [and me], that we need to focus more on dancing and less on raw, pure sexual tension,” Mike revealed.

While Mike’s interviews to promote his “Dancing” stint have been lively, his debut performance earlier this week fell flat, netting him the lowest scores of the night.

“There’s nothing this guy can do that’s wrong. Those judges were wrong. Unfair,” Dr. Drew said.

While Mike’s low scores could mean his next move will be cha cha-ing off the show, he’s ready for whatever comes his way.

“I understand that that’s a definite possibility, but I’m not worried about it,” Mike said. “If I went into this thinking that I was a good dancer, then there’d probably be a lot higher stakes for me pride-wise. But, I know I’m no good [at dancing], so I have to just really do the best I can.”

While Mike isn’t confident in his toe-tapping abilities, Dr. Drew thinks he’ll continue on the program.

“I’m telling you, I’ll put it down right now, this man is not leaving this week,” Dr. Drew said. “It’s not going to happen, it’s not going to happen.”

In fact, Dr. Drew is ready to take on Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and especially Bruno Tonioli, the “DWTS” judges, if they aren’t nicer to his KROQ radio station buddy.

“I’m going to be there Monday night. I swear to God I’m going body slam Bruno if he gives you one of those lower scores again,” Dr. Drew said.

“Now that’s television,” Mike laughed.

“Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC on Monday night at 8 PM ET.
