Marvel and Netflix have found their Luke Cage.
Mike Colter will play the role in “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones,” the companies announced jointly on Monday.
“Mike embodies the strength, edge and depth of Luke Cage,” Executive Producer/Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg said in a statement. “We’re excited to have him bring this iconic Marvel character to life.”
The actor will star opposite Krysten Ritter, who will play the title role.
The 13-episode series will premiere on Netflix in 2015, following “Marvel’s Daredevil.”
Mike currently plays drug lord/Florrick, Agos & Associates client Lemond Bishop on CBS’ “The Good Wife.”
