Miley Cyrus Talks ‘Sex And The City’ Cameo, Moving On From ‘Hannah Montana’

Miley Cyrus is thrilled to have recently filmed her cameo in “Sex and The City 2.”

The teen star plays herself in the film, turning up on the red carpet in the same dress as Kim Cattrall’s character, PR mogul Samantha Jones. The two shot their scene last week and Miley revealed she went home with a rather fancy trinket from the set – just not her stunning metallic gown.

“I returned [the dress],” Miley told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show” on Friday. “But I did get to keep the necklace, which is a rad little reminder of what I got to do. It was a really cool experience.”

Miley, a longtime fan of the HBO television series-turned-film franchise, said she was beyond thrilled at coming on board for the movie’s sequel.

“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do,” Miley told Billy of her cameo in “SATC.” “It’s kind of one of those… perks of what I get to do.”

And Miley worked hard to make the appearance in the sequel happen, despite being on a national trek.

“It was really hard getting there because I’m on tour, but it’s just something that I really loved,” she said. “I’ve always really, really loved that show, so for them to invite me on and let me be a part of the film is really cool.”

While Miley couldn’t reveal any details from the film (Kim Cattrall previously told Access the cast and crew had to sign legal binding documents to keep everything secret), from what she knows of the film’s plot, the pop princess is predicting a hit.

“From what it sounds like, it’s going to be just as rad as the first one,” Miley said.

As for her own franchise – “Hannah Montana” – Miley said she is still planning to head back to the Disney Channel series for one more season before saying goodbye.

“I want to go back for another season a quick season and probably wrap things up then,” she said. “I could never say anything bad about it because [that’s] what gave me my star and it has been so amazing. It’s given me the opportunity to grow as an artist.

“It was really a great learning experience,” she added. “But I definitely am ready to go on and do other things.”
