Move Over Jen! Bill O’Reilly Targets Rosie O’Donnell, Oprah Winfrey

Days after slamming Jennifer Aniston for her comments in support of women who choose to start families without a father, Bill O’Reilly has targeted two more Hollywood stars – Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah Winfrey.

The FOX News talk show host posted a blog on his website on Thursday, criticizing Winfrey for bringing O’Donnell, who he calls “damaged goods,” to The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

“I am betting against Rosie,” O’Reilly wrote, referring to the talk show the former “View” moderator will be launching in 2011 on OWN.

Despite O’Donnell’s continued guest appearances on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” and previously “Nip/Tuck,” her Sirius XM radio show and her HBO documentary, “A Family Is A Family Is A Family,” O’Reilly suggested she won’t be able to maintain an audience on the cable channel, which itself doesn’t launch until January 2011.

“I simply do not believe she can entertain the folks at the level required to have them tune in every day,” he wrote. “Rosie is angry. She is a true believer in left-wing causes, and that’s okay if you have the frame of reference to back it up. But it’s death for a comedian who depends on making folks laugh and feel good.”

O’Reilly suggested that O’Donnell’s NBC variety show, “Rosie Live” which lasted just one episode, is proof that she won’t make it on the cable network.

“Nobody watched,” he wrote. “For many media companies, Rosie is damaged goods.”

As for Oprah, O’Reilly suggested she will “be held somewhat responsible” for bringing O’Donnell back to TV and further added that “perhaps, her move to cable is signaling a new era of Oprah activism,” he wrote.

“If so, expect much hell to break loose,” he added.

When reached by Access Hollywood for comment, a rep for O’Donnell said she was on vacation and could not be reached.

When contacted by Access, a rep for Oprah had no comment on the situation.
