New ‘Bachelor’ Jason Mesnick Already Engaged!

Fans have yet to watch Jason Mesnick continue his search for love on the new season of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” but Mesnick revealed he may finally have found the “happily ever after” ending he was looking for.

“I’m engaged!” Mesnick told People. “I found exactly what I was hoping for, what I was looking for. I’m completely in love.”

Mesnick, the 32-year-old single dad who lost out to Jesse Csincsak in the quest for DeAnna Pappas’ heart on last season’s “The Bachelorette,” said it was the support he received from fans after the show that encouraged him to keep looking for love in front of the cameras.

“I don’t want to be by myself. I’m ready for a relationship and a family,” he added. “I just really believed this can happen to me… I cannot believe it’s this great!”

But Mesnick wasn’t just looking for love – he was also searching for someone who would be equally important to his 3-year-old son, Ty.

“I was not looking for a mom,” he explained. “I was looking for a partner for me and mentor and a friend to Ty.”

And Mesnick admitted he really was ready to give Pappas his heart, when millions of viewers watched her turn down his proposal on the season finale of “The Bachelorette.”

“I really did fall in love with DeAnna,” he told People.

Pappas and Csincsak, a professional snowboarder, called off their engagement in November.

“I was shocked,” Mesnick said of the split. “I thought they were going to make it.”
