Chace Crawford has been hit with a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana, stemming from his arrest last Friday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Officials in Collin County, Texas, confirmed to Access Hollywood on Friday that the “Gossip Girl” star had been charged with the alleged offence.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Crawford was arrested in the early morning hours of Friday, June, 4, outside of local bar Ringo’s Pub with an alleged two ounces of the drug.
TMZ reported at the time that the star was found with a friend and an “unlit joint” in a vehicle in the pub’s parking lot when the arrest went down.
On Friday, the Web site reported that the maximum penalty — if the actor is convicted on the charge — is six months in the slammer.
